Smash Up! The perfect app to use with Smash Up for randomizing factions.

***Not an official Smash Up app***Tired of an uncle that always picks Zombies? Need a little more variety in your Smash Up combinations? This is a very easy to use app that will give you a random faction to use in your Smash Up game. You can select 2-5 players, give them names if you want, and see who goes first! You can select which Smash Up expansions you will be using for each game. All currently available Smash Up expansions are included (through the Its Your Fault expansion)!! Theres even options to receive 2nd factions and 3rd factions if you want to get 3 and choose 2 to use.I plan to update this app regularly as new Smash Up expansions are released (I already have an update ready for the Cease & Desist expansion). If you would like to see other features in this app please let me know!v2.4-Added a select all checkbox in the Smash Up expansion selection page, and re-worked how the results show up. (I also have the next expansion ready to go!)v2.3-Fixed battery drain, and added warning when you dont have enough Smash Up factions for number of players.v2.2-Added "Whos First" button. Select # of players, fill in names, then see who goes first.v2.1-New Smash Up play variation, Get 3 Pick 2. Get 3 random factions, choose 2 to play with.

This app does one thing, and focuses on doing that one thing well. It takes the decks in the expansions you select, and then assigns them to players randomly, allowing an option for the "draw 3, keep 2" mechanic. I think this could be made better by allowing more granular selection of which decks in each expansion to include, and option to randomize a selection of decks for the "Kickin' it Queensberry" (or formal play) setup, where it could simply pick 4, 6, 8, or 10 decks for the players to choose from without worrying about player names or assigning the decks to players. Granted, this can be worked around by simply using the randomization twice for however many players you want and pulling out that selection. One minor bug I noticed is that if you press the button to select a player to go first more than once, it doesn't deselect the previous player(s). Meaning, if you press it more than once, it may have more than one name highlighted. All in all, if you're playing the game quite a bit and need a good mobile solution for your deck selection, this serves quite well; especially if it is able to keep up with updates in some form.

I play a lot of Smash Up and this has been great to use with our games. Adds a ton of variety and keeps the game ever changing but always fun. Down with stupid uncles!

Do you hate when certain people use the SAME factions every time you play Smash Up??? Well this app definitely helps eliminate that! It works really well, you can pick which factions to include, and it is awesome! Even though it says it is designed for phones, it looks great on my LG tablet!
